Getting in touch

How can I contact you?

You can reach us via the contact form at the top of our “Get in Contact” page. If that doesn’t work, you can email us at contact@mariekefinearts.com or call us at +32493/29.02.08. You may also leave us a message using the chat function on Instagram or Facebook.

At what times can I reach you?

Feel free to leave us a message or email at any time, and we will do our best to reply as soon as possible. Please check your spam folder if you haven’t heard from us within a week. If you still haven’t received a response after a week, our apologies – something may have gone wrong, so please try contacting us again. By phone, we are available between 10AM CET and 4PM CET from Tuesday till Saturday. If we are unable to answer your call immediately, we will get back to you as soon as possible. Leaving a voicemail can help facilitate a smoother conversation later.

Placing or canceling an order

How do I place an order?

Please review the product information carefully to ensure that all dimensions and details meet your expectations. This helps avoid surprises and returns. We have linked various informational pages within the product description for any additional questions you may have. Select the product you wish to purchase and add it to your shopping cart, then follow the steps in the checkout process. You can choose from several payment methods.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

Contact us as soon as possible at contact@mariekefinearts.com or +32493/29.02.08. If your order has not yet been shipped, we can modify or cancel it. If it has already been shipped, please refer to our return options for further information or scroll down here on the FAQ to the "returns" section.

Payments

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Union Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Bancontact, iDEAL, Klarna and PayPal. You can find more information on our payment policy here.

Can I pay in installments?

We offer the option to pay in installments in several countries via Klarna. More information can be found here.

Are my payment details safe?

Yes, we use secure SSL encryption and do not store any sensitive payment information.

Shipping

What is the shipping cost and will I be charged for it?

For original artworks, shipping is free. For prints, sketches, and all other products, a shipping fee will be charged to the customer. This fee varies from country to country. You can always add the product to your cart to see your shipping cost, or contact us at contact@mariekefinearts.com for details.

How long does delivery take?

Please note that Marieke takes 2 weeks to prepare your order for shipment. Depending on your location, delivery can take several weeks. Original artworks might take a little longer than prints or similar items. Within Belgium and neighboring countries, delivery usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks in total. For other countries, it may take 3 to 4 weeks, depending on the distance. Marieke does her utmost to ensure everything is processed as quickly and safely as possible. You can track your order if a tracking number is provided.

Please note: We are not responsible for delays, high shipping volumes, or other unforeseen circumstances with shipping companies. This includes periods such as holidays or times of increased shipping demand, which may affect delivery times.

Can I track my order?

Yes, once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. Please check your spam folder if you cannot find this email. If you have any questions about your order, feel free to contact us at contact@mariekefinearts.com. For small shipments sent by regular mail, no tracking number is available.

Is my shipment insured?

Original artworks are shipped via a specialized carrier, are always insured, and are packaged in the safest possible manner. Prints, sketches and similar items are also packaged as securely as possible. Depending on their size, these are not insured and will be sent by regular mail.

Do you ship worldwide?

We ship to a wide range of countries. If your country is not accepted during checkout, please email us at contact@mariekefinearts.com and we will see if it can be added. For more information, please see our shipping policy.

Currently, we ship to: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland.

My package arrived damaged, what do I do?

If your package arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of receipt at contact@mariekefinearts.com and attach photos of the damaged product and packaging. We will check whether your shipment is eligible for replacement.

My package hasn't arrived, what do I do?

If your package has not arrived within the estimated delivery time, please contact us at contact@mariekefinearts.com so that we can find a suitable solution for you. Check with your neighbors to see if they received the package in your place and check your address details before contacting us.

Returns

Can I return my product(s) (EU customers)?

Yes, for orders within the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal, provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Personalized artworks or items cannot be returned. Please consider carefully before ordering an original artwork, as paintings are unique and can be sensitive to environmental conditions. Ensure you have a suitable space for the work and that you have thoroughly reviewed all product information. If you must return an original artwork, you are required to insure your return shipment, which can be costly. Please contact us at contact@mariekefinearts.com to initiate a return request.

Who pays for the return shipping?

Return shipping costs are paid by the customer. For returns, we recommend using a shipping service with tracking. We are not responsible for lost return shipments. Any import duties, customs fees, or taxes applicable to the return shipment are the customer’s responsibility. For returning original artworks, insured shipping is mandatory (available only for EU customers). Refunds will be issued once your return arrives and we confirm it is undamaged. Items sent back without an approved return request will not be accepted.

Products & Services

Are your paintings unique?

Yes, our paintings are one-of-a-kind. Marieke uses her own models for her paintings. Each original artwork is unique and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

What is the quality of your paintings?

Our paintings are completely handcrafted in-house, and every piece is unique. We build our wooden frames ourselves and stretch them with high-quality canvas. For larger works, linen is used, and for smaller pieces, cotton is employed. The paintings are created using top professional materials and finished with premium anti-yellowing varnish for maximum protection and a superior finish.

Can I have a painting personalized // Are commissions available?

Yes, we offer personalized artworks and commissions. You can find more information here and check whether commissions are currently available. We only have a few commission slots per year, and they may open or close at any time due to high demand. By subscribing to our newsletter at the bottom of the page, you’ll always be the first to know when commissions reopen.

Can I have a painting delivered un-stretched?

I do not generally recommend this, as I have handcrafted all the frames with precisely finished edges. However, feel free to email us at contact@mariekefinearts.com to discuss possible options.

Can I have an order framed?

At this time, we do not offer framing services. However, we are working hard to offer this in the future.

Gift Cards & Discounts

Can I purchase a gift card or have my products gift wrapped?

At the moment we don't offer gift cards, but we're working on providing them in the future. Gift wrapping is available—if you email us immediately after placing your order at contact@mariekefinearts.com with the subject “Gift Wrapping” and provide your order number and clear instructions on what should or shouldn’t be wrapped, we can include a personalized message from you (or from us, if requested).

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, discount codes for prints are occasionally sent via our newsletter or made available on our website. This does not apply to original artworks. Sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of the page.

Do you offer business discounts?

We will address and announce business discounts in the future once we have evaluated the possibility.
