Section 1 - Shipping options and costs
We ship to a wide range of countries. This policy outlines our shipping and delivery terms. By placing an order, you agree to this policy.
Shipping to certain countries may be restricted due to customs limitations, logistical challenges, or other reasons. If your country is not available at checkout, please email us at contact@mariekefinearts.com, and we will check if it can be added.
Currently, we ship to: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, size, destination, and total order value. We select the best courier services available at the time to ensure your order reaches you safely.
Any free shipping offers apply only to specific regions or order amounts.
Shipping is free for original artworks. For prints, sketches, and all other products, shipping costs are charged to the customer. These costs vary by country. You can add the product to your cart to view the shipping costs or contact us at contact@mariekefinearts.com for more information.
Section 2 - Delivery times
Please note that Marieke requires 2 weeks to prepare your order for shipment after receiving payment. Depending on your location, delivery may take several weeks. Original artworks may take slightly longer than prints or similar items. Within Belgium and neighboring countries, delivery usually takes 2 to 3 weeks. For other countries, delivery may take 3 to 4 weeks, depending on the distance. Marieke does her best to ensure everything is shipped as quickly and securely as possible.
You can track your order if a tracking number is provided. Please note that we are not responsible for delays, high shipping volumes, or other unforeseen circumstances affecting courier services. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on destination, holidays, customs processing, and unexpected carrier delays.
Section 3 - Order tracking
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. Check your spam folder if you do not see this email. If you have any questions about your order, feel free to contact us at contact@mariekefinearts.com. For small shipments sent via regular mail, no tracking number is available.
Section 4 - International shipments
For deliveries outside the EU, import duties, VAT, or other fees may apply. These costs are not included in the product price or shipping fees and are the customer's responsibility.
In many countries, including the US and Canada, original artworks are typically exempt from import duties, provided that we submit an artist statement or certificate of authenticity.
For prints and other non-original products, import duties, VAT, or other customs charges may apply. We recommend contacting local customs authorities for more information on potential additional costs.
Section 5 - Loss or damage during transport
We are not responsible for loss or damage during transport by the shipping company. Original artworks are shipped via a specialized carrier, are always insured, and are packaged as securely as possible. Prints, sketches, and similar items are also packaged securely. Depending on their size, these are not insured and are sent via regular mail.
If your package arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of receipt at contact@mariekefinearts.com and provide photos of the damaged product and packaging.
We will assess whether your shipment qualifies for a replacement.
If your package has not arrived within the estimated delivery time, please contact us at contact@mariekefinearts.com so we can find a suitable solution. Check with your neighbors to see if they have received the package on your behalf and verify your address details before contacting us.
The risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer upon delivery.
Section 6 - Incorrect address details
Please ensure your address details are correct when placing an order. We are not responsible for delays or extra costs due to incorrect address information.
If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, reshipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
